BOLLON After traveling some 180 k from Cunnamulla traveling east the town of Bollon is encountered. Bollon is a small town that is nested on the Ballone River. Bollon has recently won a tidy town award, and this pride is still evident in this small settlement. Bollon suffered badly in the 2010 floods. The Bollon Hotel does not have historic or heritage attributes but is a highly desirable watering hole for both travelers and locals. The Anglican Church is still active. The Bollon Museum is open only on weekdays. The Bollon War Memorial is a tasteful acknowledgment to the fallen. Considering the distance traveled or about to travel an extended break allows one to veg out a little and enjoy Bollon.
