ILFRACOMBE
The last of the towns to visit when
heading west is Ilfracombe. Just 27k’s from Longreach.
Ilfracombe is a small town.

The main industry is sheep rearing, mainly for wool.
Ilfracombe is the home of a collection of antique agricultural
machinery .      
Ilfracombe is a bit of a surprise
packet, with so much on offer in 100 mtrs of roadway, and so as a
result the traveler will need to allow two to three hours to enjoy and
that is not including a dip in the spa.   
A number of museums and exhibits
determine a serious stop is in order.
Ilfracombe has two churches. 
The War Memorial is located in the
centre of the strip. 
The Wellshot Hotel is famous for its
‘happy hours’
A good look at what is on offer will
make the stopover worthwhile.
