INJUNE
Injune is well and truly off the
beaten track, but is in fact on the crossroads of the Roma, Mitchell,
Taroom and Rosseter highway touring options.
Injune is a small town on the Roma
going north Emerald route. Injune is a suggested Roma to Mitchell
alternative to the Warrego Hgy.
Injune was formerly a hub for
cattle and other rural industries, but now serves as a staging point
for expeditions to the nearby National Park. More recently, gas and
timber have served as the major primary industries
Residents of Injune district have a
lively interest in the arts, strongly supported by Bungil Shire
Council's Arts & Cultural Policy

Injune's local arts group, the
Injune Public Space Art Group (IPSAG) is leading the development of
Henricks Park. Opposite the Injune Information Centre.
Injune is another of those small
Queenstown towns that have all of the essential services and necessary
lifestyle requirements.
There are aspects of Injune undergoing
re-development, but that said the quintessential character is still
intact.

practicing faith.

The Injune War
Memorial is acknowledged in two parts. The Cenotaph and the RSL photo
display 
at the Info Centre. The display is a quite
thought provoking acknowledgement to the period. Different.
The Bustout traveler should take the
diversion and visit Injune.
