Bustout is about icon discoveries and Rubyvale
is such a place, hence the inclusion. Just west of Emerald are fossicking fields of Rubyvale and Sapphire. The names of the towns immediately conjure thoughts of mineral (read jewels) riches.
Rubyvale; once Ruby Valley is named after the discovery of Ruby’s in this valley an eon ago. The Ruby’s, Opals and Sapphires are catalyst for the many thousands of amateur fossickers that descend on the place each week.
Rubyvale is a very busy destination and accommodation can be at a premium. The Gemseekers Caravan Park
has all that you may require. Be sure to book. www.gemseekers.com.au
The Rubyvale Hotel is centred central to the town,
The Miners Cottage is a recommended fossicking entry experience.
To really enjoy the Rubyvale experience allows a minimum of an overnight.
