NORTHCLIFFE
Northcliffe is both a crossroads town,
but is also a diversion community the traveler may have to consider.
Northcliffe is a very small town, but does have most essential
services. Northcliffe can also claim to be a quirky town.
Northcliffe is a town located in the lower South West region of WA,
and is primarily a farming area since Group Settlement, both logging
and conservation interests are represented in Northcliffe.
The town was the centre of settlement schemes in the 1920s. Premier
James Mitchell named the town Northcliffe after Lord Northcliffe the
owner of various papers in London.
Northcliffe can boast what is a first rate museum that is located with
good prominence on the main north south highway. This is a must visit
if the visit coincides with the opening hours.
The Northcliffe Hotel has great prominence within the small town.
And the War Memorial is directly opposite the hotel.
The only church denomination in Northcliffe is the Uniting
The Northcliffe Museum is good cause for giving the town a look-over,
and if that should coincide with refreshment hour all to the good
