PIOPIO Piopio is a small community/town on State Highway 3, which is the highway from the Hamilton to New Plymouth. On this road we (the authors) went as far north as Urenui, and for the record as far west as Piopio. As small as Piopio may be the town easily meets the criteria for a synopsis, particularly with a museum. From a Wikipedia perspective Piopio is yet to file a historic record. We have on an informal authority the Piopio lf Golf track is test of endurance and skill. We can also advise the township is a cohesive and nicely integrated services and commercial offer. Piopio is a community with a single church??? The Piopio War Memorial has great profile in the town centre. Piopio has a hotel and Club to service the community. If traveling to New Plymouth via this route Piopio deserves a stopover.
