URENUI

When traveling north and after Waitera is the small town of Urenui. Urenui is the last town of note until Piopio still some 20km from Te Kuiti. Urenui is 30kms nth of New Plymouth and is a popular stop off point for locals and New Zealanders seeking escape from the tourist zones.

Urenui is coastal and also a pretty and cared for town and after the township the highway tracks inland.

The Urenui War Memorial is located near the school on the east side of town.

The Anglican Church is on the west arm.

The Urenui Hotel is on the main Highway.

Urenui meets the criteria for a synopsis and there is a great coffee or beverage on offer.
